Members of the UK-based Women’s Institute, a national voluntary organization for women in the UK, have created the first ever hand-knitted billboard to promote the search for a W-Icon presenter to host a new show on Sky.
The giant billboard, measuring 6m by 3m, was unraveled (oops, I mean unveiled) today. Members of the Women’s Institute used 80km of yarn and spent a total of 250 hours to create the billboard. I wonder how many cups of tea were consumed in the process?
The billboard is on its way to Liverpool for the annual Women’s Institute Conference.
